I usually 'beef up' (no pun intended honest) my gravy with a Bovril cube or two. I make mine the old fashioned way, ie I make a roux from the meat juices and then add either stock or just the veg water. If I've steamed the veg then I will add a touch of Swiss Marigold Bouillion to plain water, and I always add a dash of Worcester sauce. If it's chicken then I will mix in some of the stuffing too - and if the fancy takes me I can add some garlic powder or onion powder.0

I tried the Knorr Beef Stock Pots (as endorsed by the gorgeous Marco Pierre White) when they were half price in Sainsbury's. Delicious!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

I also tried those, but found them to be TERRIBLY salty, so much so that I had to use half the amount and add normal granules.
I have recently tried the Aldi own-brand - not bad at all.0 -

Another one worth a try is the Bon Cuisine Madeira Wine gravy by Cross and Blackwell, it comes in a 30g satchet, and costs about 49p, it's delicious either on its own, or with a teaspoon of Bisto chicken gravy.0
