When I went to work overseas years ago my mum bought me a tiny gold St Christopher and I loved it - it really meant something to me. :)

I bought my Dad one about 8 years ago for Christmas, the pendant alone cost me £160!

My son has one which my Mum bought for him when he was christened.

I think it's a lovely gesture between family members, but it's not romantic IMO :)

Maybe I could change my mind if it is so rubbish!

dont be daft!! Its a lovely idea and very thoughtful. You know why you've chosen it and I think your girl will be delighted. Just go for a dainty one and not some hoofing medallion!! :)

its not rubbish, but it is a tad on the religiuous road - which, if she is a very religious person, then it could be a very nice thing to get her, BUT if she is not, then it will be a wasted gift

It is sort of says we are going on a journey, plus another small personal reason.

She needs any protection she can get, and if chris is gonna help, get it.
