    • Catch up with the wknd's thread to see what you've all been up to - hope things are working out for you NTBY

    xx

Uh guys :grouphug: I want to catch up with so much from the weekend and now I'm trying to remember who all said what... :o

NTBY - it really sounds like you're doing the best thing for you. Such a hard time though but I'm sure this next adventure will be great for you. Really really really think you should have a blog!!

Stitchy - :( to your son moving out ... as someone who moved out of home a few years ago I can definitely say that moving out was probably the best thing I did for my relationship with my ma and pa - get on with them so well now :D Hope it's not too quiet in the stitching witch household :grouphug:

:hello: to the new posters too! Love reading new lists. Gives me lots of ideas! Almost completely forgot about onepoll after the new website playing up and going slow etc...

Oooh, OrangeFairy doesn't have long to go until her wedding! How exciting for you my dear! :D Just realised I need to call our wedding photographer to finalise the last bits and bobs from our album - how has it taken us 6 months to do this!?!

Big dodgy grouphugs to everyone else for all the motivation :grouphug:

    :iloveyou:

    Morning all

Thanks to both Pixie and DNMS for getting us started. Have to say I have had a great weekend. Even though all we did was to declutter, clean and list all Saturday. We had the cricket on though and the flat is spotless. Even cleaned the oven which is all sparkly clean. The guy who is coming to inspect the flat tomorrow is going to think we did it all for him but it was just the motivation we needed to get our act together.

NBTY I agree with La E you should definitely set up a blog for your African adventures.

La E How was the yoga teacher training try out day? Very excited to how you find the course, keep us updated.

    Today I will:
    Walk to work
    Check bank balances
    Check surveys
    Have homemade lunch
    Walk home
    Check Ebay
Ask vodafone for PAC code, contract is nearly up and they can't match the offers I have seen.
Order bike stuff online for North West Scotland bike trip in a few weeks
Go through my pile of papers which is the only thing left to do from the weekends decluttering.

I have to say that today I feel very sparkly. Usually loose it as soon as DH leaves for the week.

I hope everyone has a great day.
    xx

Was really good Rock_Cakes :) Good to find out a bit about why we do things rather than just 'how'. Also learning all the modifications for pregnant women, old people etc so much more interesting than just my usual class. Does look like quite a lot crammed in but after one weekend of the class you then have the rest of the month to practise and read up about it. I'm reading Light on Life just now which is v fab and explains loads of stuff really clearly.

Your bike ride sounds fab! Where is it from/to? We're hoping to do a bit more exploring round there but don't think we'll get too far north this time round - got a wedding and a 30th bday party near Loch Lomond so probably won't get too far from there - save those petrol costs.

Good morning all, thanks for starting the thread DNMS and Pixie! :)

Well, I have had the most fabulous weekend, we are in Scotland, came up on Friday for my sisters wedding on Saturday in St Andrews, it has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL!!!! :j:j:beer::beer: Then yesterday we drove over to the west coast to the inlaws, and staying here till Thursday, so its a little holiday really :j:T

No sunshine here today as yet.....but am lying in bed looking out at the sea :D:D which is really fabulous....dont get views like this at home!!!

So my DFW lists this week will be a bit different - over the weekend was a bit non-dfw :o hotel etc - but now time to regroup :D

This week - staying at in laws - so at home everything is off :D

    - checked online banking - amazingly still some in there :rotfl:
    - will do all my comps :D
    - should be a NSD as not going anywhere today - all too exhausted!

Cant think of anything else for now!

Have a great day everyone xx

Sounds like a fab weekend. Glad to hear that you are enjoying it. So is the course one weekend a month?

I think I will mainly be doing my practice from home as I have yet to find a decent teacher in Newcastle. The ashtanga classes I used to go to Glasgow used to be excellent, lots of adjustments so I feel like I am doing the pose properly but also progressing. And before that my first teacher, which was Hatha was fantastic. Started her classes with a 5-10 min chat about some element of yoga like the chakras, prana or pranayama etc. Really felt like I was learning, not just doing the poses. I don't like to criticise the teacher in N/Castle so I would rather not go. Though I think trying to get people who have just finished a 6 week beginner course to do handstands is a bit much and great way to scare them off.

Our trip starts at Kyle of Lochalsh and then heads northwards. DH wants to get to the north coast but thats 300 miles in 8 days, so we shall see. Haven't done any training so the legs could be hurting! We are getting the train back from Laig. This will be the furtherest north on the west coast I have been. We did the hebrides last year which was amazing. Just crossing our fingers for the weather.

Hope you remembered your conference call?
