Are Benefit products worth the money?

They are nice products but not worth the money Benefit ask.
I am a beauty blogger and find it insane that you would consider paying the same price for a Benefit mascara (and in some cases more) than you would for a mascara by Clinique, Lancome, Chanel, Dior...!
Unlike a lot of others here I could not see what all the fuss about when it came to the Bad Gal mascara; not worth the money at all imo. Have had Avon ones that are better.
Whenever I have wanted a Benefit product (which is not often, I have to say; it's fine if you are seduced by pretty packaging but tbh I have found quite a few of their products to be more than a bit useless), I have always purchased it off ebay or off another cosmetic discount site and never had any problems. Always use Google Shopping to try to get the best deal0 -
I used to love Benefit products, until I discovered you could get better quality products for the same price or less. One of their biggest selling points imo is their packaging, which I no longer find appealing. Benefit products I've owned are:
Dandelion - gives a pretty pink flush but nothing too special, the brush that comes with it isn't the softest either and I rarely used it to apply the powder.
Benetint cheek stain - I prefer tarte's (natural) cheek stains by far, Benefit products contain a bunch of parabens & artificial products that I now completely stay away from.
Mr Frosty - a white sparkly eye liner pencil, quite nice but not unique enough to justify the price.
Eye bright - you could easily find the same colour, or very similar, from other brands for roughly the same price.
Badgal blue mascara - bought this when coloured mascaras were the "wow" thing to have and it was supposed to make your eyes "pop" but it dried up very very quickly and was rather clumpy. I haven't tried the original Badgal so it could just be an issue with the blue one.
High beam - my favourite product, it's a very pretty pearly pink highlighter which I do recommend, however since I decided to go paraben free I don't use it any more.
Miss Popularity highlighter - difficult to get the product out from its tube, didn't apply very evenly, terrible value for money and now discontinued (rightly so imo).
Also Smooch (discontinued), Dr Feelgood (makes makeup slide - why isn't this discontinued too??) and their original lip gloss. Can't say I would recommend any of these tbh.0 -
I like Dandelion blusher and High beam but apart from those it aint particularly amazing. I think we Gals just love cute packaging and Benefit certainly do that. Very imaginative and cute.
I love Super Shock Avon mascara and it costs peanuts. Revlons color burst lipsticks are brilliant. BE mineral foundation and their Mineral Veil face powder are the business. Not cheap but worth the money.0
