Are Benefit products worth the money?

One of my friends swears by Benefit products but some of them are a bit on the expensive side.

Are they definitely worth the money? I don't want to shell out the cash if the price isn't going to be worth it.

Also is Ebay an okay place for getting them at a cheaper price? :o

Depends on the product IMO. The ONLY product from Benefit which I feel is worth it is Bad Gal lash mascara. Oh and maybe Hoola bronzer (pretty good) and High Beam highlighter. What were you looking for?

Also, theres lots of Benefit Fakes so I wouldn't (especially if you're a new benefit buyer) :)

For blush - look at Sleek/NARS/Chanel
    Eyeshadow - MAC/Sleek/Chanel
Mascara - Collection 2000 big fake lashes/Chanel inimitable
    Foundation - Chanel/NARS/Revlon

Some GOSH stuff is pretty nice, you can always fine a cheaper dupe of something IMO

    Hi there,

I wouldn't buy from ebay if i were you...I did this with Benefit products and they turned out to be fake. Just check the feedback of some users - they will tell if the buyer is genuine or not.

I LOVE Benefit products and I highly recommend their Badgirl Lash Mascara. I think it's about £17.50 but it's totally worth it. The High Beam is also very good and although it's about £18.00 it will last you about a year (lasted me a year anyway and I wore it pretty much every day) I'd say it's very good quality make up. MAC is also very good and roughly the same price. Buy it for basic make up like foundation, blush and mascara..I can't speak for the other cosmetics they do.

Their facewash and moisturiser (cant remember what the facewash is called, but the moisturiser is called Dear John or something like) are both fabulous. I have a few lipsticks and lip glosses from the flake competition last year - they are all lovely too....

I LOVE my Benefit makeup - it stays in place, it's not too heavy and it doesn't mess up my skin. Had a bit of a binge but my faves are Bad Gal mascara, Girl With a Pearl, Erase Paste (brilliant for bags and a little goes a long way) Hoola bronzer, Bella Bamba blusher. You can go in where they have a stand (Boots/Debenhams and tell then what you're looking for and they should do a make-ver, don't feel you NEED to buy, say you want to see how it settles) I'm a definite convert and know it'll last me well too

  • I like Benefit makeup, my skin is sensitive and doesn't flare up when I use Benefit stuff.

Seconded Erase Paste, brilliant stuff. I've bought some things from ebay (foundation faker, and travel sized primer which were only a few pound, woo!) and touch wood never had a fake - at least I don't think so :p

I can't say I think the mascara is particularly worth it, but then I'm completely in love with Aldi's :p

I personally think it's worth it for foundation/concealer, but not for things like lip gloss/mascara/eyeshadow type things.

I love benefit -bad gal mascara, lemon aid, benetint, high beam, you rebel. Not keen on their foundations though. Ebay is full of fakes though.

  • I love Benefit, and I'm sure it works out more cost effective as a little goes a long way and it stays put, so I'm not reapplying make up all day! Personally I love bad gal mascara and have it in black and plum. I'd also recommend their erase paste which you only need a tiny, tiny bit of so it lasts absolutely ages. I love their That Gal primer, which makes my skin look so nice that sometimes I just use that and erase paste and don't bother with foundation, particularly as I get quite dry skin and this way my skin looks nice and healthy with no dry/flaky bits of foundation!

I dont like benefit make up or products, the bad gal mascara was the worst I've ever tried however dd loves it and swears by erasea paste but she has much drier skin than me so that could be it, I had a preview of the exfoliater that is comming into the shops this month and I didnt chance it but dd hated it saying it stings her, for me the best thing about benefit is the packaging and for the price I'd much prefer MAC or EL or Chanel:)

    Thanks everyone.

I have really sensitive skin as does my friend which is why she mentioned Benefit. I'm really just looking at face stuff and mascara (I've heard the mascara is good).
