Thanks to all who posted a comment/assistance. Sorry I was on the wrong part of the forum. I will take note of all your comments and then book car. Yes, ponymad I do need car and intend to pick up in Heraklion to drive to holiday location. The villa I am going to offered to do a pick up but it is 70 euros for single journey and the house is located a couple of miles from the sea - a quiet location so having a car will let me travel around. Many thanks.0
