Sometime in this situations you just have to take the law into your own hands, - just as wacko911 says. The owners are clearly up to no good and you are very unlikely to get anything from them.0

I wouldn't recommend this. Two wrongs do not make a right.
When similar thing happened to me, years ago (100 staff), someone ELSE picked up my laptop on their way out. I was furious when I found out, it could have been me in trouble not them!0
