Unblocking sinks

Hi there,
I thought I would give you a quick update to let you know that after using a plunger, the sink is finally unblocked, amen.
Thanks Plumberman and everybody else for all of your helpful advice, as I'm quite useless when it comes to any sort of home repairs, and lethal if given a drill or anything with a sharp point, you've saved me spending copious amounts of cash on useless products or the services of a plumber.
Thanks again.0 -
Who still has a "plunger" these days? and Caustic soda is dangerous and can actually melt the plastic pipe.0

Sound advice. There's often one substantial piece of debris caught in the trap which is causing all the sludge to accumulate. Lollipop sticks, hair clips, pencils, things so large that they could never go round the bend. Plunging is a very temporary fix.Hi there,
