Signature?

I put my name in my signature with a personal website link.
It was wiped out a week later without anyone telling me why.
I had a look at the Forum Rules and there was no mention anything about the signature limitations/rules/etc so I thought it was rude that someone wiped it out without telling me.
Or did I miss the rules? If so, where can I read it? I'm not too bothered about the lack of my signature, just that I found it rude when someone edited it without telling me.

Only the Forum Team could have removed your signature
Here is a recent post from Martin about why people aren't infromed about things - not about signatures but the same reasoning applies
