anti mould tile adhesive

will be tiling my bathroom floor + walls in 2weeks, have looked at anti mould tile adhesive but wondering if worth the extra or just a gimmick,
any thoughts

You mean the U.....d stuff as in B&Q? If so claiming anti-mold capabilities is the least of your worries. Tubbed combined adhesive and grout is useless carp!

By all means use tubbed addy if its suitable for your tiles but would recommend BAL or Granfix or similar but always use a bagged grout and mix it yourself.

Edit: and use a bagged adhesive for the floor!

If the job is done properly with a high quality grout, water shouldn't be getting into the adhesive to cause it to go mouldy. If it does, mould is the least of your problems.

No mould is going to grow on tile adhesive when it's sealed in behind tiles!

Whilst you are absolutely right its prolly referring to the antimould capabilities for its usage as grout. But when all's said and done, combined addy and grout is still useless carp.
