Will tariff rates reduce now winter is over?

My EDF online saver version 5 finished at the end of March, question now is should I switch immediately to BG websaver 11, which will be 7% higher than my old tariff and will lock me in until May next year, or wait a few weeks in the hope that lower online tariffs will emerge?

It's extremely unlikely that electricity tariffs will be reducing any time soon.

The way the oil prices have been going lately, can't see any reductions - only further increases - I'm intending to look for a fix when my EON FIXONLINE 8 deal ends in a few months time.

I’m in the same boat as you. Wish I would have switched to their fixed saver before they dumped it on April 1st. A bit sly if you ask me, as they knew lots of people would be coming off the online saver 5 at that exact time.

I would like to switch to BG websaver 11, but am electric only, so cant. Personally, as my meter has just been read and I’m using less electric now, I will stay on their standard tariff for a few weeks. If they bring out a cheaper tariff, I will jump on it, if not, I will switch to another cheaper provider.

BG Web saver 11 is an option for electric only when I run my details through uswitch.com

That's strange, I swear the BG site said I couldn't join the websaver 11 the other day, seems to allow it now, maybe i imagined it :D

I know ukpower.co.uk show it on there tariff notes as "Only available to new customers taking Dual Fuel and existing customers taking Dual or Single fuel"

Thanks for pointing this out, I will look into it some more.
