OPS Direct debit issue

in Credit cards
Hi All,
Please be gentle with me!
I did a balance transfer to a Virgin card at 0% (5% transfer fee) for £7750 in feb, then went on hols.
It appears that the DD to virgin somehow got canceled, and while i was away, it missed the payment to virgin.
It now appears that this has resulted in the lapsing the offer (meaning i owe £200 in interest already) and will only re-instate a 9.9% rate.
Is there ANY way around this, or some form of begging that may work in getting the 0% re-instated? This was part of a 12onth stratergy, and was VERY important.
HELP!

How did it get cancelled? sometimes when you set up a dd, you may have to pay the first payment seperately to give time for the dd to set up.0

Ops as in ops i made a mistake lol.
not sure right now why or how it was cancelled, i certainly don't remember cancelling it, although i did close some DD's recently. In any case, i have received no statement from Virgin at any point since the transfer until after i had "missed" the payment.0 -

Perhaps your first step should be to find out who cancelled the direct debit and why.0 -
I'm trying, not getting very far at the mo.Nat west trying to tell me it never existed, although i can show it has.0

well, basically your only options are either to try to use your charm to get it re-instated or to get another BT card
you can't rely on a DD being set up until the statement actually says something like '' this will be taken by DD on or after the xx of the month"0 -
They didn't actually send me a statement for the payment that appears to have been missed, does that help?0
