ford focus fuse box

The 12v power sockets on my 58 plate focus have stopped working.....I am assuming the fuse needs replacing. I am having a bit of trouble locating where the fuse box is however. The manual says the particular fuse I need is in the interior fuse box but there is no picture to help explain how to get to the fuse box.

I have tried google and every page seems to suggest a different place for the fuse box/method to get to it/fuse number to replace so I am no closer to finding the actual answer.

Is there anybody that has actually replaced a fuse on their focus that can help?

If I remember correctly, the fuse box is located behind the glove compartment.

Push both top corners of the glove compartment as shown in the picture above... it should pop out completely and the fuse box will be visable.

Ok found the fuse box. my glove compartment is different to that one so it was not behind it as such. was in the passenger footwell on the underside of the glove box with 2 quick release screws.

Ah okay. That's how it was in my last focus, though that was a few years old!

    Was it the fuse afterall?
