Photocard Driving Licence Renewal D798

I've had my photocard renewal form in the post.

I've heard/read stories about the DVLA losing people's entitlement to drive etc. Meaning they have to re-take the driving test.

Would it be OK for me to tick the "lost" box on the renewal form even though I haven't really lost the photocard licence? Or will I end up with some sort of "fine" for not reporting it lost in the first place?

    It should be fine. You could have genuinely lost it on the day you received the renewal form. Though I think it costs £20 or so for a replacement.

    It's £20 to renew the 10 year photo. There is no extra £20 on the form if you tick that it is lost.
