Ahh
- I dealt with a similar Skoda dealer who hardly had any used cars in stock due to the size of their site, often wondered if they sold a lot more new cars than used. Their service was impeccable too (I bought a used Astra from them)

Phone Skoda customer services, you can ask for a consignment number from your dealer, then get customer services on the phone to find out a build date, I had an 11 week wait for a VW golf last year and dealer didn't update me at all until I pressed, but from build to delivery was only 2-3 weeks, it's just getting the build week thats the worst bit. It can also depend on other things like if you ordered extra's as well, I know some others who waited on golf's couldn't get muti function steering wheels for 3 months!
Best thing is to speak first to the dealer, if you're needing a car for that particular time, they may give you a loan car, I know VW and a couple of other manufacturer's are giving a free loan car to customers having to wait longer than the initial estimate of about 11/12 weeks. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Phone Skoda customer services,,,,,,
Alas no need, been told by dealer that a provisional build date is August, but by their tone I could tell it was going to be longer.
No car, IMO, is worth a 6+month wait. Dealer has agreed a full refund of the £200 deposit so no harm done.
Thanks for all the advice!0 -

Probably a better deal for them to have a very satisfied customer than someone sounding off about a lost deposit for a car that never arrived.
Common sense evidently can prevail, :T:T to the dealer.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
