Y reg Almera - boot is stuck shut.

Hello
I hope i am posting in the right place.... I put my bag in the boot of the car the other day, when i came to open it i couldnt, the handle would just not release the boot. Not had any problems before this.

I use the central locking, which normally opens the doors and boot, but now we cant get the boot to open, someone had a look at it for me, by dropping the rear seating - but the mechanism is sort of hidden, and is not accessible.

Does anyone have any idea what i can do, i need to be able to open the boot for work items, and as well as personal stuff too.

I can only think of taking it to Nissan, but am concerned about the cost they will charge me, but dont know who else to ask.

Anyone with knowledge of Nissan or any ideas of what i could try?

    Hi,

I think.....like the wire connecting your handle to the mechanism has snapped or something therefore, nothing is telling the boot to unlock.
    I found this wesbite

    Hope this helps!:)
