Loyd Grossman Tomato & Chargrilled Vegetables for me. We have tried most pasta sauces on the market & nothing comes near to this one.0

Another vote for Lloyd Grossman, (when I don't make my own), an excellent store product option imo.0

I like the Sacla Sun Dried Tomato and Garlic sauce although it can be on the dear side. I generally look out for it on special offer. I prefer this sauce as it is a little thicker than some of the other sauces.
I bought the Bertolli Tomato and Basil sauce when it was on offer at £1 a jar at Tesco but didn't particularly enjoy it.
With regard to the Homepride Pasta Bakes, I've only ever bought the Creamy and Tomato & Herb option once and wasn't overly keen. I am however a fan of the Tomato, Garlic and Chilli variant which up until now has only been available in Sainsbury's and Asda. It has now appeared on the shelves of my local Morrisons and even better was on offer at two for £2 so needless to say I stocked up !0 -
i always make my own ragu sauce. but if it is on offer then the hwhole fmaily loves the lloyd grossman chilli and tomato one. it is scrummy.
we either have it poured over minced beef and serve with spagheti , or over chicken chuckens and pasta. of course grated cheese and garlic bread are a must :rotfl:0 -
Aldi Arrabiatta is good, and just 75p.Stompa0

I use passata and throw in whatever I have, be it mushrooms or peppers etc. That way I can tailor it to whatever we are having it with. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I used to use Lloyd's as lots have recommended, but haven't bought anything other than this one since I tried it. Lovely sauce, prefer it over making it myself tbh!0 -
2 onions, 4 cloves of garlic, 8 chopped rashers of bacon, 1 chopped carrot, 2 chopped celery sticks, 1/4 tsp chilli flakes, 2 tsp artificial sweetner, 2 tins chopped tomatoes, handful chopped fresh basil, salt & pepper, cook till thick, serve with pasta. For all of you on Slimming World, it's free !!0

Lloyd Grossman here too as a standby if I stock up on the offer ones (though they are a little runny). I tend to add chopped fresh tomatoes to them if I have them, and some herbs and pepper if I can, with a tin of tuna on occasion. Fine on their own too - Puttanesca one is a fav, as is the Tomato and Chilli one. I cannot stand most of the pre prepped ones of other brands though due to a chemical type taste in many of them. Much nicer to make my own most of the time (my usual is onions, garlic, tin tomatoes, teasp sugar, teasp tomato paste, one chopped chorizo (fresh if can get em), basil, pepper and a teasp chilli, occasional sliced fresh tomatoes if feel like it).0

I mostly make my own. But for a standbye jar, I like Sainsburys own brand vongole (clam) and tomato sauce.Val.0
