Hot tub removal.............

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a company to remove a hot tub from our current house on Essex/Suffolk border to our new address in Wiltshire please?

I've had a look online, but have not had much luck so far and would prefer a recommendation if possible!

Last time we moved (about 160 miles on that occasion) we were convinced by our removal co (bishop's move) that they could do it professionally, but they made a pig's ear of the job and charged us astronomically for the privilege

if its done one move already I'm querying if it may be near the end of its life and a new tub at the new place may be a wiser investment?

failing that, yes, ask somewhere that sells tubs to do it.

Just get a plumber in to disconnect it, a few men to load it into a big van, then do the reverse at the other end.

It's quite a high-end brand/model (original cost in the region of £11k) so hopefully it still has a way to go before reaching the end of it's natural life! We originally moved it from Southsea in Hampshire (where we originate from) and had hoped to be moving back to the Hants/West Sussex area, but cannot afford to do that and remain mortgage-free unless we make far too many compromises, so Wiltshire is a second/third-choice destination for us really as decent properties are so much less expensive there.

Our buyers (Essex born and bred) don't want it as they've small children and have other plans for the space anyway.

We will definitely contact some local suppliers - although surprisingly they seem a bit thin on the ground
