Hey what city from the following would be the best holiday in terms of nightlife, lifestyle and culture - Alicante, Paphos, Faro, Geneva, Palma, Dalaman, Nice, and Tenerife?

The three things you are looking for, whilst not mutually exclusive, do not really indicate what you are looking for. I like Geneva and in particular Lake Geneva, but it is very expensive, great lifetstyle but I doubt you could afford the nightlife, too may well paid civil servants playing away with large wallets....

I love Palma, decent culture, wonderful relaxed lifestyle, particularly out of peak season and nightlife if you want it. Of course it depends what sort of nightlife you are looking for, sophisticated restaurants and great bars, such as Abaco are easily found in Palma but I would only want to go there for 3 or 4 days. Paphos is for a beach resort, no obvious culture or lifestyle but probably a good nightlife but not cheap at the moment. Hated Tenerife, especially the south side, just mad Brits everywhere, if that's what you want then fine but not for me. Love Faro as a town but not really a resort itself, have to travel along the Algarve coast wasn't struck on Nice but there are some very expensive resorts close by, St Tropez, Cannes and Monaco for example. Never been to Turkey or Alicante so cannot comment

I can recommend Fethiye or Olu Denis from Dalaman in Turkey. however, if you could be a little more specific, e.g. are you a pensioner, are you taking kids. when do you want to go, do you like hot weather. Various towns within reach of Dalaman offer different characters. Please let us know what you want and i will gladly offer more info,

If you want a city, you can forget Cyprus Turkey and Alicante, not really city breaks, arguably neither is Faro. That leaves Nice Geneva or Palma, if you want to be by the sea, that cuts out Geneva which I suspect they only operate to in the winter for skiiing anyway, so France or Spain, your choice. I would take Palma anyday.
