Entered the wrong amount on quick deposit

Hi, i was in a mad rush when i went into Natwest to deposit money into my account. There was a huge queue so i decided to use the quick deposit machine.
I entered £100 and put my notes into the envelope. It's only when i got home that i realised in fact the amount i had put into the machine was £120.
My first question is will the bank correct my mistake.
The second is, i was hoping the money would be deposited into my account today - regardless of if i do lose the money will it slow the deposit down?
Any help would be appreciated.

I think you'd be best phoning the Natwest and asking themI seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0

Ring them and explain that you think there is £120 in the envelope rather than £100. Yes I would have thought they would credit the correct amount should you had not realised.
However I would guess they won't credit your account until the next working day, if you paid in on a Saturday then it may well be Monday before they credit the deposit.0 -
Cash Quick Deposits should go into the account on the same day if you've paid in before 3.30 pm - this will apply to Saturdays aswell.
If the amount is incorrect either way (too short/too much), the corrected amount will be paid into the account.
They should also give you a call to let you know this providing you've left your number on the envelopeAnything that I do say, is strictly my opinion
