Moving away from Godaddy ASAP after Elephant killing!

I've just been really shocked to see the news of the CEO of godaddy shooting and killing an endangered African Elephant (for sport).
Naturally I'm looking to transfer all my domains with them but I don't really know where to start. I see that 1&1, namecheap, 123-reg have all been recommended on the forum - does anyone have any experience with Heart Internet? Since I already paid godaddy, obviously I would like this to be as cheap as possible and heart internet offer the transfer for £5, but you get an extra year free.
I'm a bit confused about the small print though like losing all the free services if you change nameservers.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just found that Namecheap offer $5 transfers with an extra year registration if you put in the code BYEBYEGD. Plus they supposedly give 20% to save the elephants.0

I've had experiences with 1&1 and 123-reg (Pipex) and they have not been good ones. I would recommend avoiding them like the plague.
I currently use Evohosting for myself and my customers and even though it costs a little more than a lot of the hosting services I have found them to be excellent at what they do, right down to the support.0 -

Hmmm... But Gerald Ratner's only "crime" was to use self-deprecating humour where he shouldn't have...0 -

Another vote for Evohosting, been using them since 2007 with no major problems at all, at least not that I've noticed. (aside from me being silly and breaking things, yet they were always helpful) Support is absolutely second to none, with emails replied to in minutes (often).
Saying that, I also have a few domains with 123 Reg and have never had issues.0 -
I've been using 123 Reg for about half a decade without any problems whatsoever.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
Try Vidahost ... brilliant service for hosting and domains
Basic hosting starts at £17 (+VAT) / year
Next level at £29 / year ... or £58 for three years (+VAT)

apparently it needed to be killed
Of course - it "needed to be killed" in exactly the same way that we "need" to be systematically over-populating the planet.
In the same way that the population of one of the countries in the region "needs" to be growing at a rate of an average of 8.2 children per adult female.
You would expect that the CEO of Godaddy would have the resources and imagination to think up an alternative approach - perhaps a fund to provide compensation to them for crop that the elephant takes, so that they could co-exist - instead of one side "needing to be killed"?0 -
I have found domainmonster to be pretty good. I have transferred all my domains to them now and had no problems.0
