No Claims Bonus question

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone can advise me here.
My 1st year of car insurance is due to expire in May (next month), however, I will have a new car by that point, thus, requiring new car insurance.
Comparing quotes for my new car online shows a massive difference with 1 years no claims however I won't have the 1 year NCB till next month.
Will my "11 months NCB" carry on to my next policy? Will my insurance go down when I do get past the one year NCB stage next month?
Any advice is very much appreciated.

If your new policy is arranged as a change of vehicle on your existing policy your NCB will carry forward and when it's renewed for the new vehicle will reduce your premium
If you cancel your existing policy and start a new one with another company you will be starting again from scratch - it would be unusual for a new company to recognise a part year0 -
You are better off phoning the existing the insurance of you new car and have them transfer the exciting policy onto that, you may pay extra, but at least then at renewal time you have 1 NCB.0

Ahhh so I should simply phone up my insurers, change my car for the remaining month, then when it comes to renew I can either go elsewhere with 1 years NCB or continue with these guys?0
