we have a travel system but it's big and our 20 month old seems to prefer a stroller he uses when with other family members, so thinking of getting a low cost one
chicco ct0.6 £30 at tesco, just looked at kiddicare youtube on it and seems ok
mothercare nulo £70 had a play and not bad for the money
friend recommended petite star zia, but this is £100
so what's good or not, and what does the extra money buy you?

A lot of people seem to like the zia cos its similar to zapp, but reclines. Personally everyonr ive seen the handles appear very low, which i guess is ok if youre not too tall. I didnt get on with my zapp so dont think id go for zia personally.
Im also not a fan of maclarens either. Just didnt like mine when i had stroller with dd. Did however like my maclaren 3 wheeler!
Whatever u do, dont get anything with a 'floating' harness. Ive just had to get rid if my ziko because the 'safety' harness doesnt attach to the back of the seat, its just fastened to side which meant my son could move around too much. When he had tantrum cos he was tired he managed to slide himself that far down, his feet were down the back of footrest dragging on the floor. Have just got a hauck icoo infinity yesterday and i love it. We walk everywhere and have school run twice a day so need something sturdy. The suspensions sooo bouncy lol, is taking some getting used to.
Before i got my ziko i was looking at chicco multiway i think it was called. It was lovely!0 -
Ive just brought two blue petite star zias from nurseryvalue came with free parasols and `cocoons.` for our holiday as there are 6 grown up going didnt want to risk damaging my double. They also do reworked ones or £60ish, my friend got one said it was fine no faults.

i had the pink princess one from mothercare think it was £25 at the time but it was a good stroller never had a problem with it folds down easily. i know people who change prams/strollers like their socks which imo is a waste of money. id prefer to find one i like and stick with it:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

I second a reworked model from Nursery Value. Just last week I bought a Zia+ (the + means it has height adjustable handles) for £62, free delivery which said 3-4 working days but actually arrived on Tuesday having ordered it early hours of Sunday. Can't find a mark on it at all! They get new stock uploaded on a Friday, you can follow them on Facebook to get the actual stock figures

I don't know I have the zia and I love it but I'd be concerned about it's durability if you do alot of walking or have a boystrous toddler that jumps in and out. I'd prefer the £30 stroller I bought from boots for DS, it doesn't recline but has been fully abused and is still going strong. I also agree that the handles are low on the zia so whilst I'm fine with it OH looks a bit odd pushing it.0

I am into my 8th year of my Maclaren XT and cannot recommend it highly enough.
The wheels are sturdy so deals with most terrain (not sand), but it is lightweight and folds down nice and flat so fits in a small boot.
It also reclines fully so great for sleeping if out.

I love my Quinny Zapp.0

£30 sale chicco, dont like the flimsy feel and no recline
Mothercare nulo £70 which is similar to chicco in away but felt better and recline
Saw petite star zia, it was ok but low handle
For alittle more there's the baby jogger for £160 which gets great reviews and useable from birth
Not much negative. Easy to fold, not the smallest, but not bad size when folded and quite like.
Anyone have a baby jogger mini and is it worth the extra over other strollers?0 -
I haven't read the other replies. We bought an OBaby Black circles one from Argos a few weeks ago (to keep in the car) and it is really good. Would highly recommend it. It was £54.95.
I just wanted something sturdy, comfortable for our son and easy to use and it does exactly that so I am entirely satisfied. Whether I could have looked at every single one on the market and found fault with mine/fault with others does not really concern me as I just need it to do a simple job, be safe and be easy to push lol.
We didn't need it to fold as small as the quinny zapp does so was no need to spend double+ the price for it in our case.
Here is a link to save you time hunting for links if you do/don't like it. The black looks really shiny here, it isn't thankfully.

We have a baby jogger city mini and I love it!
. It has stood up to a serious amount of abuse and still looks new. We bought it for our youngest when he reached the forward facing stage after a few costly mistakes:o. It goes over all terrain brilliantly and folds up in seconds. It's rain cover is fabulous as it goes over the handle to hold it secure which had been a major problem with our little one previously as he did not like being under them and would just pull off the ones that attach to the rim of the hood.
Our boy is now beyond the stroller stage but we have cleaned it up and put it away safely for when our next child reaches the stroller stage.
Ours has certainly been worth every penny and more!
