Supermarket wise - you will generally have the choice of the Carrefour which is south of J35 of the motorway - just off the big roundabout. Or, more towards Valras Plage you have a Hyper U. Both are fairly similar on prices from what I can remember. Be warned - you may get plagued by mozzies! The canal du midi is very close - very beautiful!

If you decide to fly, Beziers Airport is very close by and looks to be very small.

We had heard of the possible mozzie plague before we booked but decided that as long as we have plenty of repellants we should be alright. Do you know if those Citronella garden candles are any good?

Not really sure - have used them but I don't know how effective they are. When we came back last year DH had a really bad bite on his face and we ended up at the drs before we even got home. He got a prescription for some strong anti histamines.
They say that Avons body oil works well but again I've not been brave enough to pack it and try it

Avon skin-so-soft creams are relatively cheap and are so good at repelling beasties that my dad and all his territorial army mates swear by it, to the extent that they all ditch the free army issue repellents they are given and stock up on the avon stuff. That's to combat scottish midges, which are surely tougher than french ones. Lol yes I am scottish!! And no i am not an Avon rep!!! :rotfl:
