hi there,
i have been putting thoughts together over weather i should set a website up based on the trip advisor idea where customers reviews provide ratings for a company to get a reputation good or bad.
i must stress this is not travel based.
i cant go to far into details as its still early stages but the foundations are there.
all i was wondering is how they make money from doing this,
also how much money a site like theres costs to set up and maintain.
it would need to be easy for members to use and for me to update.
i have a little knowledge on this but im no bill gates.
many thanks.

I guess they are affiliate based - every time someone books a room or flight via their website, they get a paid by the hotel/airline etc for the sale. Also, people can advertise on their website for a set amount each month.
Site costs will depend on your traffic loads. As your traffic increases, you will have to pay for good hosting. To start with, it won't be too expensive. If you are looking for someone to code your site, it depends on the complexity of the site as to how much it is going to cost.0
