Avis Hire car petrol refilling scam

My son filled up the tank of his hire car before returning it but they later charged him for a full tank of petrol. :mad: He is likely to incur bank charges if they don't sort it out today. My sister had the same thing happen to her recently (although I'm not sure which hire company she used) and it took ages and much hassle to get a refund.

My advice is keep your receipt and double check you are not being scammed when returning your hire car.
