With regards to www.parcel2go.com, they will only cover the price on the Paypal invoice whether you purchase extra insurance or not, whatever the value of the item may be. I found this out the hard way.
Also, city link are one of the few couriers to take, and insure computers.
The value though would be what someone paid for it, you can't insure to a value that is higher than the sale price.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I wonder if you can help me. I am selling an item on ebay which weighs 1.5kg. I have never used a courier before and wondering how you estimate the cost of postage prior to knowing the destination. I know it will be in the UK as i do not sell to overseas. If i sell via royalmail it will cost 7.40 and wondering if i can get it a bit cheaper thats all.No More Buying Books: read 0/25; Bought: 0

Please would it be possible to get some help on international Airmail?
I have an eBay item which won't go for more than about £20 I estimate and I have beenasked by 2 bidders whether I'd send abroad. I'd be happy to do this but can't work out the cost, both are in Europe.
The item weighs 550g and according to price finder would cost £5.42 but http://www.royalmail.com/delivery/delivery-options-international/airmail/prices (working on that table) it seems to me it should only be £4.82?
Also, is it safe to send parcels to Europe, I'mmostly concerned about an INR.0 -

The price for airmail small packet to EU is £5.42.
If you worked it out manually, you have to add 3 x 60p not 2 x 60p (as you have done) to the base price of 300g.
If you are concerned about INR then you need to assess your risk based on the info in this thread.0 -
Hi, I'm looking to start selling on ebay for the first time. The only thing I have concerns about is P+P.
If possible can someone give a quick run down of what is required as a seller, as proof I posted the goods? I keep reading different things, P.O.P and C.O.P, is there any difference? What do I ask for at the PO?
Where do you guys buy your postage materials from, for instance if I sold a pair of trainers how would you package them?
I have a Keyboard and stand too, is that something you would send via a courier?
Thanks for any help.0 -

My OH had a £30 pair of boots sent in a black bin bag and another pair sent in a mailing bag.
I'd either box them if I had a box to hand as the weight isn't that much more or a proper mailing bag, with them well wrapped inside with some bubble wrap at least.0 -
