They seem to vary the units that are on sale. We got ours 50% off I belive that some have upto 60% off and that you can use one of the 15% off vouchers to get a further reduction!
Make sure you find prices for simelar units from other manufacturers and also make sure you find the cheapest appliances as they will price match everything.0 -
These 50% & 60% off sales are marketing hype. Don't be sucked in.0

I don't understand why anyone would get a price from Supplier A, get a cheaper quote from Supplier B and then, when Supplier A matches the price from Supplier B, buy from Supplier A?
Out of principle I woud immediately discount Supplier A from my shortlist as they were clearly initially trying it on. The only time I woud reconsider Supplier A was if they then significantly beat Supplier B.
So in the example above, I would only consider going back to B&Q if they threw something significant as an extra.0 -

Why? Companies have to work to profit margins at the end of the day and that's what their initial price will reflect. If the company is having a good month (or sometimes even a bad month) they may be willing to take a hit on the margin, to ensure they get the deal.
I've done deals at 0% margin before now, just to get the deal and add to my sales figures. Obviously I couldn't do this for every customer, otherwise the business wouldn't be viable. So in the example above, I would only consider going back to B&Q if they threw something significant as an extra.
So what you're saying is, you'd rather get a "free" washing machine that is say, "worth" £500, than get £500 knocked off the price of the kitchen?
To knock £500 off a kitchen costs me £500 worth of margin, to knock a £500 washing machine off costs me around £310 margin. Do you still think you're getting a good deal?0 -
If you know someone who runs a business, get them to apply for a B&Q "TradePoint" card.
I'm told that kitchens are substantially cheaper this way..0
