  • I had a dilemma with one of my bridesmaids who refused to take any interest, we had words and then she started to come round again. But recently, she has point blank refused to come to my hen night - even though she has nothing else planned and has openly admitted this. Im going to meet up with her over the next week or so (depending on when she answers her phone/texts/email) to just ask her straight out if she even wants to be my bridesmaid at all.
Married My Best Friend & Soulmate on 21st July 11! So happy to be Mrs Kyle!:heart2:

Same here (same problem bridesmaid, fortunately). She's going for her fitting on 16th April, but doesn't know if she can make my hen do which is on the same day :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Honestly when I was a bridesmaid a couple of years ago, I was over the moon to be asked and I was so excited! I was so pleased for my friend to be getting married and I bought a selection of wedding magazines so we could browse through and say yes/no to different looks and ideas!

Before the wedding date had been set, I dragged her into a bridal shop I spotted whilst we were out clothes shopping and it was brilliant to see her trying all of the dresses on. I had a ball! We even found 'The' dress too!

At the time we lived quite a long distance from each other, so we sent emails of links to bridesmaid dresses etc and it was really easy.

For the actual wedding, I took a weeks holiday from work and stayed with my family so I was on hand to help with any last minute things she needed me for.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that distance shouldn't be a problem in the age of the internet, and being a bridesmaid is a big deal!!
