Hi all,
I have windows 7 and am having probs with ie8 freezing often and just wondering if its atall possible to totally uninstall ie8 and then download it again and reinstall. I have reset the browser in advanced and not too sure if that will work.
Would it also be a good idea if ie 8 continues to crash to try ie9 or will that have a lot of the existing settings and problems of ie8 as well? I do realise that addons can cause problems with ie so I am looking at that as well. I do have firefox and chrome but kind of like ie8.
thanks for any advice.

Install ie 9 then get upset then look on this forum about uninstalling it and there is a thread about that , sorry to be negative but I can't be a*Sed to look for it for you. I use FF but have not yet gone down FF4 route 'cos of negative feedback. apologies debit4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Go to the Control Panel, click on "Programs and Features", and then on the left click "Turn Windows features on and off". From there you can completely remove IE8 from your system.
If it is IE that is crashing though, then you should really scan your computer to see if it is infected with malware. Read the sticky at the top of the forum to see how.poppy100
