Tesco credit card - speed of application process

Hi,

I'm looking to borrow about £4,000 on a credit card with a long 0% rate on new purchases. There's a long thread on the M&S card (15 months @ 0%), which suggests the card could take three weeks to arrive. If you've recently applied for the Tesco Clubcard credit card (13 months @ 0%), how long did it take you to receive the credit card and PIN?

I can afford to pay in cash, but the moneysaver in me would prefer to borrow at 0% for a year and put the money in an ISA paying 3%+ if I can get a card quickly.

the only downside is the fee would be 3%, so makes it a little pointless

Which fee are you refering to? I'm not going to be doing a balance transfer, just using the card for a purchase.

It took four weeks for my Tesco Credit Card to arrive.

Applied in mid January, after about 10 days they sent a letter asking for proof of my income. Then after I sent that, a week later they asked for proof of my name and address (couldn't they have done it at the same time)? Then a week after that I got a pin number in the post, and a couple of days later the card came by recorded delivery.
