RB, yes I have both sender and mailing addresses on the labels. So that's a possibility. It certainly got back to me fast.

The buyer did not respond to my nice message by email. Nor has he responded to the mutual cancellation request. I see he was on ebay though because he has wasted no time in leaving me negative feedback, as soon as I had refunded him.

I see from his profile that he only buys cheap theatre tickets. Possibly a ticket tout?;)

I would say, Full Refund given after RM returned item to me, undelivered.

It is still showing as an unresolved case in my resolution centre. I don’t expect any co-operation from the buyer.



Can I still get my ebay fees refunded? I had to refund the buyer the cost of the ticket and I paid ebay fees as well so I’m quite badly out of pocket.

Adding silly terms to your listing does not help attract the best buyers out there, who may not want to deal with someone who would refuse to take responsibility if an item is lost in the post.

More importantly I believe that's the reason why the buyer went straight to a claim rather than contact you. Why would they want to contact you if you clearly stated that if they don't receive it it's their problem not yours. So you did not stand a chance to avoid neg fb.

I have learnt a lesson by it. I have lost the value of the sale.:o

What I'm asking is can I recover the ebay fees?
