I am about to put my house on the market & am shocked how much estate agents charge & how little they seem to do now everyone can search on line.
has anyone sold without using them?? or using one of those on-line agents that only seem to charge a nominal fee?
any experiences/advice would be appreciated
thanks

use the search button above..loads and loads of discussion on this..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
People looking to buy houses tend NOT to avoid Estate Agents though.

Searching is just one aspect of the buying process, wouldn't you say?0 -
I imagine that finding the relevant threads is like trying to find the perfect new property without an agent...........0

Only because they don't have a choice!! Im a buyer and if I could avoid Eas I absolutely would!! Total waste of space!0 -
Same here, I'd quite happily avoid the estate agents as a buyer if at all possible.
I may have even laughed yesterday when one tried to tell me the market was buoyant, the sooner I can avoid these fools the better0
