Help connecting netbook to TV

Hello
I hope you can advise me about connecting my netbook to the TV so that I can watch stuff from my netbook on TV.
I have a Packard Bell dot ser 410uk netbook and an old widescreen Phillips TV (not LCD/HD or anything fancy). The netbook has a VGA output and the TV has an S video port and a video port.
Would buying a VGA to s video cable be enough, or do I need to convert anything.
Any advicemuch appreciated. Thanks
