Can I ask for a refund??

Sorry if this is on the wrong board - please redirect if so.
I have just been in boots and bought various items. when I got home I realised i had been charged twice for the one product at £3.50. By the time I got home and realised the shop was closed for the evening. If I go back in tomorrow can I ask for the money back?
The problem is I obviously cant prove I only bought one of the item. I bought this as I had a money off voucher for it (which only worked on one). In store its also on 3 for 2 offer so if I had bought 2 surely I would have picked up the 3rd free.
Is it worth my going back tomorrow and asking or would I just be wasting my time??
I also realised the double point voucher doesn't seem to have worked properly - ie gave me about 1 1/3 points rather than double - anything I can do about this too??

Rather than ask for your money back, take everything you got today back along with your receipt and say there is a mistake on it and ask them to check. You are right when you say you can't prove you didn't get 2 of the items. I would go back although it does depend abit on how long it will take you/how much it will cost you. As for the missing points, have you allowed for whatever money-oof you got with the voucher? You won't get points on that amount.
I 've just had a look on Boots website and found a phone number listed here http://www.boots.com/en/Help/Contact-Us/ under "General store enquires" where it says you can give feedback about your "experience" in store. If it is a manned number rather than an answering machine, maybe they will deal with the complaint. It's an 0845 number not freefone so there would still be some expense.
