Ouch - hope you sort it out. :eek:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi LitlleL
Have the interest/charges stopped being added on or not yet?
Try not to fret too much until you can speak to CCCS. Easier said than done I am sure.Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Well I was thinking about that, but it's really only been my bank who have continued to charge me but surely not £4,000 in 2 months!!
I had a good look there and it looks like they've really cocked up! EG - they have my monthly payment sitting at £427 (I arranged £357)
I'll need to phone first thing tomorrow, I'm sure it's all a big mistake
I'll let you know the outcome
Thanks guys you're the best!

Hopefully its a typo. But you may need something stronger than water or milk!Broken_hearted wrote:No idea. Try not to panic, have a drink water/milk and go to bed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well I've been in tears all morning... Aparrently I now owe in the region of £27,000 due to charges applied by my bank. And I CAN'T claim them back coz it will be sold onto a debt collector etc...
The guy I spoke to from CCCS was lovely and explained everything to me but I still feel so worried about it all. He suggests going in to my local branch (clydesdale) with all my DMP info and explaining everything to them in the hope they'll freeze the charges.
I feel I'm taking 10 steps forward and 1000 back. What's the point of it all! I'm gonna be in debt forever at this rate....

Oh no, LittleL, I'm sorry. It is a set back isn't it?
But take heart. If they freeze the charges then this is your (hopefully) worse case scenario. You'll know what you are working with and the quest for debt freedom work will continue.
I know this won't be much consolation hon, but don't give up. Please don't give up.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I am no expert, but please double check that you CANT claim them back. Perhaps go to the bank action group website and ask advice on there. Doesn't hurt to ask, just in case!LittleL wrote:Well I've been in tears all morning... Aparrently I now owe in the region of £27,000 due to charges applied by my bank.
