Hi
I am needing to get a dog walker for one day a week when I am out at work - could you tell me what I should be looking for? Also someone mentioned something about insurance...do they need this?
Thanks

I think they mean't to ensure that you have contents insurance in case you come home one day and find your home empty and you couldn't claim because they had a key and permission to enter

Most dog walkers should be insured and crb checked you want them crb checked as they have keys to your house and the insurance covers the walker breaking a valuable item in your home, or if the dog runs across the rd and causes an accident.
Getting a recommendation is good and I think you need to get on with the person. Also be specific about what you want and what you are getting. Ie is your dog being walked for a full hour or spending half the time in the car doing pick ups etc. I have been hired to walk for 30 mins and then just sit with the dogs in the house for a further 30mins just to keep them company.
Good Luck0
