statutory maternity pay and voluntary redundancy

i have currently been employed by my employer for 11 years, i am due to start my maternity pay in 2 weeks, well statutory maternity pay anyway, which consists of 6 weeks 90% and 33 weeks at SMP level about £125 a week, voluntary redundancy has come up, if i was to accept this would my maternity pay be affected, i have fully qualified for the pay, as in 15 weeks before baby due, so in affect work have already agreed to pay it, but redundancy was not an issue before, im so confused as to what to do, if my maternity pay is not affected it would make my decision a lot less stressful.

No you will still be entitled to all your Maternity pay, though you paid be paid the balance in a lump sum rather than each Month. You would also be entitled o the holiday you accrue up until the end of your Maternity Leave :-)0

I'm in a similar position, your maternity pay would not be affected. You are legally entitled to that regardless of anything else as you worked for your employer in the qualifying week0
