Office 2010 on Windows 95!!

A slightly odd question! My neighbour's wife is buying a new laptop (Windows7) and is thinking of buying:-

Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student, 3 Users (PC ) from Amazon or similar

Her husband insists on running Windows 95 on his old desktop which he refuses to update. He wants to know whether Windows Office 2010 would run on his system. I can't find any reference to 95 on current adverts. Does anyone know, please?

Not a chance. The installer needs the latest version of the Windows Installer software which is not available for Win95.

Thanks, everyone, that seems quite definite and is what I thought you might say which is why I asked. Thank you for your confirmation.

Lol!! That gave me a nice little giggle :) If he's got that desktop connected to the internet it's wide open to all kind of security exploits btw. He should really be persuaded to update it.

haha just made me think of the quote from daybreakers (slight modifacation)

going online with windows 95 is about as safe as bearbacking a $5 hooker

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
