MPI and redundancy-is there a problem if given a lot of notice for redundancy??

Options
Hi

My mother in law is being made redundant next year and is not quite sure when her job is coming to an end, but she will have been given at least a year's notice, if not a bit more.

She is expecting her mortgage payments to be covered for up to a year by the insurance she has for protection against redundancy. I am hoping she is right but if I were Mr. Insurance, I would tell her where to go as she had plenty of time to sort herself out another job (which is another issue altogether-she is currently burying her head in the sand).

Does anyone know if she would have a problem making a claim given that she has had a huge amount of notice about the redundancy??

Thanks in advance
