Car insurance gone through the roof!

Can anbody help me with where to find a sensible quote for my car insurance.

My premium last year was £569 because I had a claim in 2009 (and so lost 2 of my 5 years no claims)

I have just had my renewal through and they are quoting me.....£913 for TPFT insurance based on 4yrs NCB! I am a 26yr old female and have had my licence 7yrs. This is the only claim I have had and I cannot understand how my premium can have increased so much.

I have run through all price comparison websites and I can get Fully Comp for in the same region but nowhere is coming up cheaper fot TPFT.

As I am considering a new car (when I say new I mean used) I ran through out of interest a 1.2l Punto to see if that made much difference as I am currently driving a 1.8l Honda but they still wanted over £900.

I haven't paid above £650 for insurance since I passed my test!

Any suggestions?

read some of the recent threads as its a bit of an FAQ in this section.

In your case, the claim is likely to be the damage as insurers are cherry picking more.
