Do any of you part ex cars often?

I've been lucky to have owned 4/5 different cars.
first one went to family, second and third one was an enthusiast finished car and spec and so got good money

still have a unique class in it's class, but been looking at part ex prices. I guess it's fair, but the amount loss on depreciation vs a private potential sale is quite big 20%+ difference.

then the dealers have their cars marked up etc. so makes it even more expensive.

yes the private selling and buying is a big hassle, but for those who do it often must take a hit quite badly
