European breakdown cover???

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but could really do with some advice / recommendations.
We are going on a two week French holiday in May and usually the breakdown cover has been included in my car insurance, however this year it isn't so really need some info on the best deals etc, the prices seem to be quite varied and I don't want to take out one with a company that can't actually be relied upon when you may need them.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
