No Buying Toiletries in April Challenge

For the mouse (I refuse to accept there might be more than one ) I'm using sticky traps just as they are. Still nothing. But then again, I haven't slept in my room for a few days so I haven't heard anything. I bought some dessert scented candles (chocolate etc but v fragrant) and I'm wondering if it's the smell of those  Pudsey - the sonic repeller sounds like a good idea, I'll have to check it out
It's really annoying me that last week there was a post with a website/product/suggestion or something that I wanted to look up, and I didn't then and there and now I can't remember what is was, or anything about it except I wanted to check it out - stupid me
I was watching some rubbish program the other day that said if you're not sure whether you've got rats or mice then if you put out a biscuit mice will nibble in situ and rats will drag it away to eat it. Not that that's any use to you but i thought it was interesting
We baited our traps with prawn crackers. It seemed to work! Peanut butter sounds a good idea though. My hamster went mad for it so a mouse probably would too.
I kept doing that too but since then I've been using a site & browser plugin called 'evernote'. It's genius! If you're not familiar (I wasn't until last week despite being a nerd)...
You sign up for an online account
install a program
then right click anything online and click 'clip to evernote'. Works for highlighted text but i mostly clip pictures of stuff I want to buy
Then when you go on your account page there's a nice array of thumnails of all the stuff you've clipped along with links to where they came from.
I would rave more about it.... but mine's crashed at the moment and won't let me save things
Here's part of my collection of pictures. I like looking at it, its so pretty0 -
Eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!! I hope you chuck them back. Well, fling them back over the fence with a stick at least:rotfl:
Well the dog gets boinked on the nose so she drops it and then we pick it up using one of those long arm grabber things which we use to de-poo the garden
Never thought of chucking it back - usually just goes deeeeeep into the bin and then I spend 20 minutes washing my hands (even though I never actually touch it :rotfl:)
I think I'd be worried of it flying back and hitting me if I tried to chuck it back :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

@kaz the shampoo you said about - well i just checked my local bodycare and they have them on offer 3 bottles for £2 - dont know if you have one your way? I dont tend to see many of their stores around.
The £10 voucher i mentioned this morning has now been spent - and i was good, not on toilitries even though it could be spent at boots. Instead i spent it on my fav range of clothing and bagged myself a bargain, £26 summer dress for £1. Was reduced in the sale plus I then got student discount and then the voucher too...
Managed to increase my overdraft to £1600, so actually an extra £50 more than I thought I could...least enough to pay the rent for another monthMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

I've had a read of that too
I was going to hide that but I couldn't manage to find a whole screen of pics that didn't include either S&G wants or makeup
I think the only things it would be properly bad of me to buy is the eyeshadow palettes even though they're pretty. The Naked one is OOS everywhere anyway so i'm safe from that0 -
Kaz are you going to join the challenge? I did but spent £107 on my first week:rotfl: And then £45 since but I didn't pay so I'm not delcaring:rotfl:Well the dog gets boinked on the nose so she drops it and then we pick it up using one of those long arm grabber things which we use to de-poo the garden

Fling it back!!! :rotfl: Or put it in an envelope and pop it through their letterbox with a note saying "Thought you might like this back..."charlie792 wrote: »Instead i spent it on my fav range of clothing and bagged myself a bargain £26 summer dress for £1. Bargainous!:j Can we see the dress so we can all buy it like we did when kaz showed us her dress admire the prettyness?:j:rotfl::j0 -

I don't know, I don't budget for clothes because I'm not bad at buying them. I hate shopping so I don't go to 'browse'!
Thanks charlie, I 'think' that there's a body care in town but it'd cost me more than the 14p saving to get there as I can get it from boots when we take the littlies to aikido on Saturday morning. I can also pay in points then. Hmmm, looks like boots it is thenDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Haha - to be honest its nothing special, and to be honest its a little akward to wear with a bra, its meant to be quiet low cut and all my bras come up way too high so it looks a little silly. Instead Im now wearing it with a strapless bikini top underneath which isnt so bad.
But to be honest for the price Im happy - I bought a similar cut dress in primark last year and I think I paid £10 for that then.
Incase anyone is interested its the 'purple' range in DPs - litterally LOVE all thier stuff and would buy it all if it wasnt so expensive...this is now my 6th dress by them I think (3 bought on ebay) and the rest I havent paid full price for thanks to vouchers and student discount. Got one totally free thanks to a giftcard for my birthday last year :j
OH MY DAYS - this is embarrasing! I was messing around on my phone because theres an option to directly upload photos to facebook, flickr etc. Well the facebook thing hasnt worked for the last year or so because the app thing has changed and you have to pay to use it...anyway I opened the upload section and went to scroll down to flickr except it then uploaded a load of 'test' pics to facebook....good job they wernt anything private- Does that show for anyone? It just comes up as a tiny square on mine

Avon Lady has been so I'm hopping up on the naughty step
IN's
Avon Almond Oil & Avocado Shampoo
Avon Almond Oil & Avocado Conditoner
Avon Almond Oil & Avocado Conditioning Balm
all 99p - I ordered the shampoo because at the time I didn't have any - and I wanted the matching doo-dahs
Avon Anew Rejuvenate 14 Day System £10 - and came with a £10 voucher off a full size set.
It has 14 days supply of cleansing gel, day cream and night cream and a full size eye cream. The day and night creams are going straight into my travel kit as I think the ones in there have gone funny - The cleansing gel will go in too as I only have about 3 days left of cleanser in there. The eye cream I will keep in my stash as the one I'm using now is half gone.
So I'm only counting £5 of the set as an IN
Sort of IN's
Half-used GWP size No7 Essential Moisture Day & Night Creams - moved into stash from travel kit - these will be used as foot cream0 -
I'm reading a really lovely thread on the weddings board - all about how people were proposed too - some really sweet stories
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3175162
(and some dodgy ones - do skip mine) :rotfl:
