Volkswagen Polo
Options
Please can I have an answer quickly....
Our Volkswagen Polo is key operated (manually). Today as I put the key into the key hole to open the door, the door opened, but the key is stuck in the keyhole!!!!!!! Both the front windows are also open.
Let me know what can be done.

The 'paddle' behind the barrell will most likely be broken and jammed. You will be able to get replacement parts for £10ish from VW, but you should be able to 'gently' force the lock open again.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Try spraying some WD40 in. Might loosen the lock.Iva started Dec 2018.0

Thanks for all your help. I had to ring the recovery people and they sorted it out. The panel had to be removed from inside to clear the problem.
Lastly, how can I make another spare car key. (presently, there is only one key!!)0 -
Most auto locksmiths or key cutters should be able to copy your key. prices will range from £45-£75 depending on where you are.0

I have had a quote of £55 for a spare key for my X reg Polo, if that helps. The key is apparently chipped, so if you used a plain copy it would open doors but not start the car.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
