Always best to check around for shops that do refillings. I have one fairly close by and they refill my cartridges for half the price of a new one and a cartridge can be refilled a few times before it needs to be discarded.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

    Hi Will,

Further to my previous reply, I have done a little bit of research.
Thanks Q above, good advice. Q is right Will, as all cartridges chipped and non chipped can be refilled and this will work quite well however; as a genereal rule printing quality will decrease after approx 5 refills.

    Very briefly,
Normal non chip carts are dead easy to do yourself with extreme success.
Chipped carts known as the "Microchip scheme" can also be refilled under DIY.
It's called a chip reset kit and can be found on the net.
For further info and additional tech resources, go here under the technology section.
It will explain and confirm everything I have said so just have a read before you spend any money in shops!

    Hope this helps!:)
