ikea pax

Didn't know where to bragg, so thought i shared are good visit on here.

Having chose our new wardrobe solution on the ikea site, we toddled down to Ikea bristol to first see it in the flesh before buying it.

As it was fairly expensive, we thought we'd leave the doors for now, as they were almost £400, taking the total cost to £800. Anyway, when there, the exact doors we wanted were showing as reduced to just £99...great we thought, but alas, none in stock. Cheekily, i just asked what were happening to the ones on display, and they said we could have them, but to come back another day as they were closing in 15 mins.

We agreed to return on the tuesday, giving us a day or two to sort out a van or something, and come tuesday, we found they had put them aside for us, like they said, and we could pick them up by bargain corner. Got the rest of the shopping, went to get them and the guy started to sort out the price ticket for us. We were happy with £99, but they had put 40% off as they were in the bargain corner, then, little did we know, an extra 20% as we were family members! Great, £400 doors, for £40, then....as we spent over £300 on the pax systems, we got a gift card for 10% back, an extra £35!

So, with very good luck, a little cheek and good timing with offers, our new £800 wardrobe is gonna be about half price, if only everything was in stock eh?

like i said, just wanted to share our good fortune and hope others get lucky too

Good result. I find Ikea very annoying most of the time, and think customer service is often quite poor, so nice to see they actually kept them for you. My friend went to buy a unit that was showing as loads in stock. When he got there it was OOS, so they gave him petrol money and a voucher for the cafe.
