May one ask how? You don't work for them by any chance?

Nope. Its part of the package of my lease. Usually it costs extra per month for the full maintenace package (tyres, RAC cover etc..) but as i work for the finance compnay doing the leases, i get it for free....as well as getting £300pm knocked off the price of the lease. One of the few advantages of working for my employers!
  • Well I just checked what I'm paying RAC and it's £69.60 for Roadside, Recovery. I'm due to renew next March, so will look around then. Not impressed, this seems an awful lot!
  • I paid £34 for a years roadside cover with the AA. They wanted to charge me £45 so I called up to cancel and they price matched the lowest quote I'd found to convince me to stay. :)

  • I got breakdown cover with Gem Assist and they have been absolutely brilliant, I can't fault them. No quibble at all with returning my claim when my 10 year old Fiesta broke down 25 miles from home and had to be towed back, despite the total coming to over £100. And I got free key insurance too.

About a week ago an idiot in a Range Rover drove into the back of my tiny Ford Ka, with predictable results. They sent someone out to take care of it and he even carried the contents of my car (2 boxes) into my hallway.

The cost was about £45 and I don't begrudge a penny of it.
