Clearing out, they were married for about 10 years. Divorce has been going on for about 2 years. Both have had legal advice and solicitors on both side have said her pension would be included as an asset.

Is there anything she can do about the fact that his assets were worth considerably more at the time of the start of the divorce and that he has deliberately depreciated the value of his assets by (a) closing his businesses, and (b) not renting his properties out. Would a judge take these factors into consideration? He has spent the past 2 years getting rid of anything of value (bought 3 cars and a motorbike which he has now got rid of so that they don't get included as assets, had expensive plastic surgery, etc...)

I would imagine that would depend on the judge.

Has her solicitor not advised her about this?

Yes, her solicitor has advised lots of things but so far she seems to be a complete waste of money. I know at one stage the solicitor was recommending a forensic accountant to go through all of the ex's paperwork but I think that fell apart because he wouldn't provide any financial paperwork (has been fined in the court already for this). I think me and DH have given her better advice. Most of their discussions seem to be quick 5 minute phone calls although I've never been through the process so I don't know if this is normal. So at this stage it seems it would be better to just go to court again and let the judge decide...

Why does she not set up a proper meeting with the solicitor and ask them this?
I don't see how the court can decide anything if he refuses to provide the required financial paperwork.
