How to clean a coloured plastic sink
Malory
I live in a rented house with a kitchen sink that is lined with yellow plastic.
As time has gone by, the sink has gotten covered with dark stains.
I have tried scrubbing it with white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, but that doesn't do much.
I can't use a product with bleach, because I don't want to remove any of the yellow colouring.
If it were my own home, I might replace the sink, but it isnt, so I'm stuck with it.
Does anyone know of anything that will get it clean?

I have a horrible white plastic sink. The only thing that works is to fill it with cold water and a very strong solution of Milton (or any other nappy sanitizer ). Leave overnight. The stains dissolve without damaging the plastic.
Don't scrub your sink - that will just roughen the plastic, allowing more stains to get stuck in.0 -
Bleach. The bleach shouldn't touch the yellow colour if the colour was impregnated during manufacturing. I've never heard of a yellow sink. Are you sure its is not supposed to be white but is just very discoloured.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

The vanish oxy stuff you put in your wash. I discovered this completely by accident. I have an old cream/yellow sink in the kitchen. I was soaking a shirt that had a stain on it, left it for a couple of hours and when I let water out of the sink it was spotless. :money:Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
